Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are excited for this unique opportunity to develop the premier

team of Telecom Technicians. We intend to hire experienced and

qualified Network Infrastructure Technicians (Tech) for the

installation of copper, fiber optic, and antenna cable plant in

operating and new construction commercial facilities

throughout Texas. Prospects must be malleable self-starters

with focus and a passion for installing standard-compliant

infrastructures.

 

We are searching for artisans that understand

the value of an aesthetically pleasing installation while exceeding safety & code requirements and maintaining optimum performance. We are building a dynamic team of extraordinary technicians to perform projects how we want when we want, and wherever the work takes us.

​

Skills and Experience:

​

  • Perform all tasks required for the installation of a structured cable plant in operating and new construction health care facilities. A complete structured cable plant includes diverse media types (copper, fiber optic and coaxial cables), termination facilities, and respective pathways.

​

  • Possess knowledge and experience with methods, equipment, and materials used in the installation, maintenance, and repair of infrastructure.

​

  • Terminate, label, and test a variety of different manufactures' connectivity (i.e., 110, RJ45, N-Type, F-Type. LC, SC, MTP, etc.) and associated hardware.

​

  • Perform advanced certification and troubleshooting of installed and potentially existing cable plant.

​

  • A candidate shall have the ability to interpret and comprehend primitive and complex construction drawings, including diagrams.

​

  • Adept and determined to complete and extensive administrative tasks such as as-built management, labeling, and project reporting.

​

  • Installation of networked devices such as; wireless access points, switches, servers, and UPS's.

​

  • Installation of antenna devices such as; boosters, donor antennas, server antennas, splitters, taps, and roof sleds.

​

  • Ability to determine the appropriate course of action when obstacles or anomalies arise and perform the task while abiding by applicable codes, standards, and best practices.

​

  • Implement the job plan and scope of work as well as perform retrofits and upgrades for existing infrastructure.

​

  • Keep work areas in a safe, clean condition, and well organized.

  • Maintain workflow and schedule to ensure all project objectives

​

  • Keep work areas in a safe, clean condition, and well organized.

 

Preferred Industry Specific Qualifications

​

  • Current BICSI Technician (TECH) Certification preferred. Proof of former BICSI Registered Technician Certification may be acceptable.

​

  • > 5 years of Cable Plant installation-specific experience with a minimum of INSTF or INSTC certifications.

​

  • > 8 Years of Cable Plant installation-specific experience with verifiable success.

​

  • Adept awareness and compliance of current standards & applicable codes (ANSI/TIA/EIA 568B, BICSI, NEC, IEEE, NFPA). 

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

​

  • Ensure that health & safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting safely at all times while on-site.

​

  • Perform ladder climbing, wire pulling, and conduit pulling.

​

  • Fully squat, stoop, or kneel while working.

​

  • Maintain a standing position for long periods while performing repetitive actions such as terminating and patching.

​

  • Capable of working off of ladders, lifts, or within a moveable dust enclosure.

​

  • Ensures that health & safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting safely at all times while on-site.

 

Typical Work Environment:

​

  • New construction and operating facilities:

    • High Tech / Healthcare / Office / Manufacturing / Data Centers

 

Assignment / Required travel:

​

  • Potential travel throughout Central Texas and bordering states with the potential for nationwide travel.

 

Personal Appearance:

​

  • The technician shall express a professional appearance while wearing an Yetley Co. logo.

​

  • The technician shall express a professional appearance void of peculiar hand-made markings, piercings, and grooming methods, which would affect the safety of others.

​

  • Due to the nature of the environment, these are non-smoking positions.

​

  • Attire Provided by Yetley Co. - Company Shirt (Requirement while on the clock), Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Safety Vest, Cap, and additional environmental PPE as required.

​

  • Attire Provided by Technician – Black, Grey, or denim work suitable pants, Level 3 – 5 gloves, belt, & appropriate footwear. The technician shall provide approved boots and soft sole shoes depending upon the environment.

 

Compensation:

​

  • $18 - $38 per hour & OT after 40 Hours Worked Per Week. Compensation based on experience.

    • RCDD

    • TPM

    • BICSI Registered Technician

    • BICSI Certified Technician

    • Communications Technician – Other Qualified Training

​

  • Additional Compensation - Per diem, lodging, mileage (port to port), or flight reimbursement, when traveling for Yetley Co.

​

Requirements

Employment Authorization:

Authorized to work in the United States (Required).

Must be willing to submit to background verification and pre-employment and project substance (drug) screenings.

Have and maintain a valid driver's license.
